Check one off the TO-DO list
Last weekend I manged to finish the second "baby" oblong pillow. It had been sitting there waiting for me to receive my new cording foot. It worked like a dream! I sleep with one of these "baby" pillows every night. A couple of weeks ago I made the first one. The old one was so ratty after sleeping with it for about three years. I found a white matelasse pillow sham at the thrift store a while ago and purchased it with this in mind. This sham looked brand new right out of a package. After a run through the washer and dryer on hot, (I like to make sure everything has been sterilized and shrunk before I sew it) I cut both the pillows out. The first one was done quickly because I needed it to sleep on. The other one sat there for a while waiting to try out my new cording foot.

Guess who loves getting comments on their blogs? Everyone! So here is one for you....
First, I like the pillows, but am surprised you used white- I mean, I figured you for having an all black room, draped in rich, dark, heavy fabrics- ha ha.
Second, as the best known bed maker to this girl, I know your bed doesn't really look like that in person. Especially because it looks like the camera added 10 pounds to that bed, I guess the old saying is true.

Looks good Mom... I'll try and check this on a regular basis so be sure to update often... I think you should put some recipes on here... It loks like that is how the pioneer woman website started... Plus, I would have easy access to all my favorite recipes... You could even take pictures of the process so I know I'm not screwing up too bad... Have fun... Love, Chris
I love Chris' idea! In fact, we could make you a separate blog link from this blog and you can have a whole library of cooking recipes (with pictures!).
The best part, we get to make suggestions of recipies you could put on there (our own Paula Dean) and Jay and Irv are happy because they get good food all the time... it's a win-win situation.
